Please note that Positive Feedback Software has built an ADD ON called Accounting For Dining.   You must install the Accounting For Delphi software FIRST and then you can install our ADD ON software.

If you do not configure the Borland Database Engine, Accounting For Delphi will not operate.   BDE must be setup before you can use the software.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

Installation Procedure:

  1. Download the Accounting For Delphi installer and save the EXE file to your desktop.
  2. Download the Accounting For Dining installer and save the MSI file to your desktop.
  3. Double click the Accounting For Delphi installer icon on your desktop.   This will start the installation process.
  4. Take all of the DEFAULT VALUES throughout the installation of Accounting For Delphi.
  5. You must now configure the Borland Database Engine by completing these steps in order:
    1. Run the BDE Administrator by going to Control Panel and double clicking the BDE Administrator icon.
    2. From the menu, RIGHT CLICK on the DATABASES object and select "NEW"
    3. For the DATABASE DRIVER NAME accept the default driver which is called STANDARD by clicking OKAY.
    4. You're now given the choice of renaming STANDARD1.  It must be changed to AFD
    5. On the "DEFINITION TAB" change the DEFAULT DRIVER property to DBASE.
    6. Enter the location of your AFD data files.   It will normally be C:\Program Files\AFD\
    7. Next, go to the configuration tab and select SYSTEM and then INIT.   Change the LOCAL SHARE property to TRUE.
    8. Press CONTROL+A to save ALL changes you have made.
    9. Accounting For Delphi is now installed & the Borland Database Server is configured.
  6. The last part of the installation is to apply the Accounting For Dining software add-on.   To do this, double click the Accounting For Dining installation icon located on your desktop.
  7. While the installation is running, accept ALL DEFAULTS when prompted.
  8. The Accounting For Dining installation is completed.   Make a shortcut to \Program Files\AFD\AFDMAIN.EXE on each terminal you wish to have use Accounting For Dining.
